Interactive online training for employees from all over the world

DIHK Service GmbH is the project company for the Chambers of Industry and Commerce and the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad. We have conducted a two-part training course with employees of the chambers of commerce abroad to enable them to apply agile project management in their day-to-day work.

The challenge

The teams of the chambers of commerce abroad are made up of German and local employees - from the USA and North Africa to China, Iraq and Latvia. As part of an international vocational training project, employees of the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK) were trained in agile project management in two online workshops. The aim was to...

  • impart methodological expertise on agile project management in order to break up the work in the chamber world,
  • provide an interactive workshop with fresh impetus
  • and establish a close link with day-to-day business.

Our services

We developed and implemented a two-part online training course for DIHK Service that was tailored to chambers of commerce abroad. It was important to us that the participants experience how it feels to work agile through practical exercises. We therefore used various training approaches:

  1. Working in small groups: In smaller teams, the participants worked intensively with selected methods (e.g. Kanban), planned their first projects and exchanged ideas on how they use agile project management in their day-to-day business.
  2. Working in the large group: In the digital plenary session, we gave keynote speeches on agile project management and individual methods. We also ensured an exchange between the small groups and provided tools for getting started.
  3. Interactive exercises: We always use exercises and specific warm-ups so that participants can directly experience the mindset behind agile project management.
